My approach is totally client-focused. Rather than prescribing a certain lifestyle or diet, I help clients set meaningful goals, and find personalised strategies to achieve such goals. Moreover, I work on effective behaviour changes that get sustainable, long-lasting results.

In fact, the 2 most common reasons why most diets and lifestyle interventions fail concern the lack of purpose and not addressing the root cause of triggering behaviours. Firstly, we tend to perceive diets as external impositions, rather than something we choose to do; secondly, we are often unaware of thoughts or feelings that trigger certain behaviours leading to overeating or not exercising. For this reason, weight-regain is so common amongst former dieters, and creates a cycle that is hard to break.

However, my job as a health coach is to help clients find their own power to break this cycle. Indeed, by addressing the root cause of weight gain and a sedentary lifestyle, we can unveil the secret to permanent health and fitness. Because of the uniqueness of our nature and needs, me and my client work as a team, and my coaching style adapts to the individuality of my client.

On top of it, I am a Strength and Conditioning Coach

Therefore, I consider clients athletes, and coach them as such. My focus as a coach is not merely on fat loss or muscle building. On the contrary, I help clients master movements and technique, as well as build strength, power, speed and agility. By so doing, my clients are able to unlock the secret to not only getting fit but also staying fit for the rest of their lives.

Lastly, I use my Philosophical Background

Join my Shield Maiden Tribe: reconnect with your Inner Warrior, and build your Strongest Self!

To help clients value their health and fitness on a spiritual level, too. In modern society, we are often told that taking care of the body is a sign of selfishness or vanity. However, because of the close interrelation between body, mind and spirit, once we neglect one of them, the three of them all suffer the consequences. Hence, taking good care of your body helps you achieve mind clarity, discipline, focus, a sense of connection with the universe, as well as a sense of life balance, meaning and purpose. More specifically, I often draw on my background in history of Jungian psychology, to improve my clients’ relationship with their creative energy.

Let me help you become the strongest, healthiest and happiest version of yourself!

‘Remain seated as little as possible, put no trust in any thought that is not born in the open, to the accompaniment of free bodily motion—nor in one in which even the muscles do not celebrate a feast. All prejudices take their origin in the intestines. A sedentary life, as I have already said elsewhere, is the real sin against the Holy Spirit.’

About Fitnosophy – How I Have Unlocked My Potential

Fitnosophy’s Origin: My Mum’s Journey

When my mum was suddenly diagnosed with coronary heart disease and underwent a double bypass, it was like a slap in my face. How could it be? My mum had never smoked or drunk. Not only this, she had been on a ‘healthy’ diet most of her life; she exercised regularly and looked at least 10 years younger than she was. I was in shock.

I realised that, in spite of her seemingly good lifestyle, my mum wasn’t taking sufficient care of herself. Indeed, she wasn’t listening to her body’s cues; she was no longer engaging in activities she once enjoyed, she was no longer connected with herself. I started looking around me, and I soon realised that most people’s lives looked like hers.

Even worse than that, my own life started to look like hers: instead of living the precious philosophical teachings I had studied for years, I was confining them within books, articles or conference papers, as though I was collecting antiques. In that moment, I realised that I had to do something concrete with my life. I wanted to provide practical help for people like my mum, like my neighbours, like my coworkers and like myself.

I made the decision of becoming a Nutrition and Health Coach, a Personal Trainer, and a Strength and Conditioning Coach, to help other people reconnect with themselves and regain control over their lives. When it comes to nutrition, physical activity and spirituality, our individuality comes before the dogmatism of ‘one size fits all’ diets, sports and practices. My mission is to help my clients reconnect with their uniqueness and allow such uniqueness to fulfil its potential. This is where their real strength lies.

Why Working With Me?

I have been passionate about Health, Fitness and Philosophy ever since I was a little girl. Moreover, I have been practising strength training regularly since 2006 and have gathered a wealth of knowledge and a lot of experience over the years.

Differently to most fitness professionals, training and coaching clients is not merely a job for me: it is my life and calling. The possibility of improving someone’s life is what wakes me up every morning, and makes me sleep every night. The thought of contributing to my clients’ wellbeing fills my heart with inexplicable gratitude.

Revealing the Truth Behind Exercise and First Menopause Symptoms

What Is Menopause? Definition “Menopause” is defined as “a point in time 12 months after a woman’s last period“. More generally, the term “menopause” refers to the end of a woman’s reproductive years. Even though menopause technically occurs once in a woman’s lifetime, the symptoms leading to it can last a decade. The decade preceding …

Why Building your Body to Realise your Self?

Physical Strength

As F.W. Nietzsche wrote in 1888,

‘what does not kill me makes me stronger’ (Twilight of the Idols, ‘Maxims and Arrows’ §8).

The maximal or near maximal stimulus you increasingly expose your muscles to (e.g. what nearly kills you), is what creates mechanical, metabolic, and neuromuscular adaptations that elicit MUSCLE GROWTH and STRENGTH GAINS (training principle of progressive overload).

Mental Strength

Constantly exposing your body to intense stimuli also teaches the mind how to be determined to achieve a goal, and how to stick to a plan and make the needed sacrifices to pursuit a purpose. Therefore, PHYSICAL STRENGTH also shapes MENTAL STRENGTH.

By the side of gaining strength, also other elements more traditionally associated with bodybuilding forge mental strength. Some of these elements are: constantly basing your food choices around massing and cutting phases; clean eating; alcohol restriction or abstinence; prioritising sleep; paying attention to details and making all the required sacrifices in order to bring out your best body parts while improving your lagging ones; posing; taking progress pictures and weekly check-ins; etc.

Emotional Strength

When you retrospectively think of all the effort you have put into your goal, all the difficulties you have overcome, all the setbacks you have faced, and how far you have come with your journey, you also realise that this journey has made you more resilient, namely, it has given you EMOTIONAL STRENGTH.

Physical, mental, and emotional strength are inextricably intertwined, and are all part of the process of personal growth that will eventually lead you to becoming who you are.
