Homemade Easy Beef Burgers

  • 250 g beef or lamb mince
  • 1 spring onion stalk
  • 1/2 inch ginger root
  • thyme
  • oregano
  • Himalayan salt
  • 1 cup mixed salad
  • (optional) black pepper
  • (optional) 1 egg
  • (optional) 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt
  • (optional) 1 tsp ACV
  • (optional) 1 tsp mustard
  • (optional) stevia
  • (optional) 1 tsp fresh chives (chopped finely)

Chop spring onion stalk, ginger root and herbs as finely as possible.

In a large bowl, mix mince, chopped herbs, salt (and pepper). Combine to obtain 2 compact patties. You might want (or need) to add an egg to the mixture, depending on the mince texture.

You can cook the patties: in the oven (at 200C); on a grill; or in a frying pan. Regardless of which method you decide to use, they will need to cook 7 minutes on each side. They taste nice when served with mixed salad and dressed with yoghurt sauce.

To make yoghurt sauce: combine Greek yoghurt, ACV, mustard, stevia and a pinch of salt. Top with fresh chives. Enjoy!
